Use Blanche's awl to chip the giant crystal somewhere out in the forest. You aren't sure what will happen when you do this. You've been told to be careful.

The crystal can be found near a large pool of water to the east of the forest in front of the Eltibule zone portal. When you take a piece off of the crystal you will be set on fire or fire deer will attack you. The fire will last until you walk into the water. The deer are somewhat strong so be ready for a fight.
